2 Hour Scentwork Introduction Workshop
We are now offering regular scentwork workshops! This workshop is introductory and aims to give you and your dog the skills to start your scentwork journey; your dog will be introduced to a specific scent to search for:
For those dogs that are more food driven you will introduce cheese (if your dog cannot have cheese, please get in touch to discuss before booking)
For those dogs that are more toy driven you will introduce catnip scented items (please get in touch if you require a different scent)
This workshop will focus on active indications - this will be explained at the workshop, and you will learn important handling skills to work alongside your dog.
There will be a maximum of four dogs in the workshop to give participants plenty of time to introduce the desired scent and to start some basic searched.
There will be times where one dog is working at a time, it will be important that your dog can settle inside the training barn whilst another dog is working; if they can't do get in touch as it may be best for them to settle in the car until it is their turn.
Your booking will be for one dog, if you wish to work multiple dogs then you will need to purchase a place for each dog.
After your dog has attended one introduction workshop, you can then book the progression workshop.
2 Hour Scentwork Progression Workshop
This workshop is for those that have completed an introduction workshop with us or for those that have been doing scentwork elsewhere - please get in contact if you have been doing it elsewhere just so we can be sure of suitability.
The workshop will look at varying the difficulty of searches with different materials, multiple articles, varying heights and more.
During these workshops there will be one dog working at a time, if your dog isn't able to settle when other dogs are working, then they can either wait in your vehicle or in the field (please get in touch before booking if this is the case).
There will be a maximum of four dogs partaking in the workshop.
For both workshops one booking will secure a place for working one dog, please make sure to book the correct workshop via the correct calendar below.
