Gundog
You needn’t have a Gundog breed or want to work your dog on a shoot to get stuck in and enjoy
This class is suited for anyone: whether you would like to learn fun new skills that you can use when out on a walk with your dog to spice things up and adding reliable whistle cues or if you are intending to work your dog in the future. Our monthly Gundog workshops are for any breed of dog, any level of experience and using clicker training to encourage focus, control and problem-solving abilities in your dog. These 90 minute classes will give you new games to play with your dog and develop your relationship while out and about.
The themes of the sessions are as follows:
1 – Hunt, Turn and Stop – hunting for all breeds
2 – Retrieving – clicker retrieve, retrieving games, skills for seen and memory retrieves
3 – Left, Right and Back – directions for retrieving and skills for blind retrieves
4 – Stop and Steady – stop whistle and steadiness
Please ensure that you bring your dog's favourite treats (and a lot of them) cut into varying sizes, you and your dog will need to be able to easily see big treats thrown into the grass for some exercises; also bring your dogs most favourable toys.
